Random

Last night was a blast! Thanks to an awesome guy, we got to go backstage at Modest Mouse and watch the concert. It was great! We also got to experience what band members actually think when they hear two women and a guy in a locked stall in the Men's bathroom. Let's just say it was both extremely embarrassing and completely hilarious! The week continues to be great and I am thinking of possibly adding some more therapy-type things to my already wonderful physio. If you know of other things you think might help, let me know. That's all for now.

Peace

Joel

had lots of fun last night! Little tired today but it was worth it. I will try to cruise over in the VW a little later on. But now that I have it I may have to take it on a wild and crazy adventure. So maybe I will see you later?

As you got ready for the big concert last night, I watched as the nurses pick you up off the bed to get you into the wheelchair. As they lifted you (without using the electric lift) and had you standing with some support, (you were some what slouched), I was amazed to see how you were able to straighten yourself upright from that slouched position and then slowly pivot your right leg/foot to the right position to be able to sit in the wheel chair.
This is so wonderful and amazing and I love the progress.

Hey Stud Master 2007x,

Thank you very much for the text last night while I was studying...it was a welcome interruption to the psyc I was studying. I hope you dropped my number to mischa? I stopped by to hear about last night but you were MIA, it was before lunch so figured you were pumping iron, with the other meatheads. Keep it rocking in the free world.

Ps. Micro word, makes meat head one word……

Got my ethics approval this week to start my study on the use of alternative therapies and high performance athletes. I'll let you know if I hear anything interesting (I really hope I do - it would suck to spend two years studying something boring). I myself am booked for craniosacral next month. As part of my project I'm trying random therapies - which is amusing my teammates to no end seeing as I'm infamous for popping an ibuprofen and avoiding the doctor.

I'm still working up the nerve to book and appointment with everyone's favourite chiro (barring Dave of course) but I can just see myself walking into Derek Porter's office and babbling like an idiot so that might have to wait. The last time Mom and I bumped into him he asked if I was going to grab my oars and after much effort I think what came out was 'duhhhhhhhh.' (Which still beats Mom response of 'you're gorgeous')

Hey Joel,

It was great to see you and shake your hand at the Modest Mouse show. Great work on the physio - sounds hard as hell, but I know that's not going to hold you back!

Hey joel,

So glad to see you are doing well and your progress is fantastic!!

You mentioned about wanting some other therapies..... I dont know if there are any osteopaths in Regina but if you can get onto someone who does craniosacral therapy (doesnt have to be an osteopath) then that can really help!
I do a lot of that type of work and there are a lot of Osteopaths in australia who use it for people in rehab - great for releasing strains in the body and building up strength of your CNS (Central Nervous System).
So check it out and if you can have some done that would be great! After all.... you have nothing to lose and quicker rehab to gain!!
Then again, I am desparate for a holiday... Maybe i should come over there for a holiday and treat you myself!! he he....
If you have any questions just email me.... sending lots of love joel!
