Weekend!!!

After what seemed like a long week, it is finally the weekend! Joel plans on going home again for Saturday night. Other than that, he will probably be hangin at his house which is just getting the finishing touches and looks amazing --thanks to Shayne, Hippo Beach Posse, Danny, and all the people who pitched in. Thanks again Damon for not only helping out but also finding more help to get the renos done! On another note, we just passed the 4 month mark of Joel's accident on the 22nd. To see his improvement, strength, and wonderful attitude is really something to be admired. HE has such an impact on people that everyone seems to end up hanging out in his room! He has even been recruited to join wheelchair curling! If you want to reach him this weekend, call his cell or stop by his house or Wascana.

Hey BD,

There is really one man who deserves the credit for the house, his name is SUPER CONTRACTOR, aka shano, not only has he put a million hours into the house he has put up with all the meat heads in the process. 3 cheers for Shano hipp hipp..... hooray, hipp hipp.... hooray, hipp hipp.... hooray. ps.....the hippo beach crew may have fell through the ice, it got to cold to fast for those hippo's.

I can't believe it's taken you this long to find your true calling. A sport that doesn't require you to put down your beer seems like the perfect match. Just don't let Bob Mills talk to your dad while renos are still in the works - I think his wife was a little surprised when he turned their kitchen into a curling rink (and used full sized rocks indoors).

I love getting news on the blog but can't wait to get home at Christmas and see for myself how you're doing.

Hope you had a good weekend. I hear that Damon liked the food I left you. Maybe one night in the next few weeks, Damon and you can come over for dinner and drinks.
See you later this week.

Hey Joel,

I was just thinking about you this morning and then opened the newspaper and there you were! I have been following your progress through the blog, your Dad, the hippo beach crew, etc. but it was so great to see the photo of you "working" your physio. Keep it up, we are all cheering you on!

My dad, Lyle, forwarded us an e-mail regarding your progress and we are so excited for you. Your dad forwarded me this blog and I wanted to let you know how often we think of you and send prayers your way. Looking forward to getting you back to Charlevoix sometime. Take care.
