The staples in Joel's neck from the surgery have been removed. He is much more comfortable and getting closer to going to Wascana. He will be updating soon!
Hey Joel -- Greetings from Niagara on the Lake -- this is the first I've seen a computer -- and it took awhile to get through the updates and all the messages!
You're lookin' great -- and J-Dog is too! I heard he was snoozing on your bed while you were in the chair - the nurses must have loved that one!
We've toasted you, your Dad and the rest of yourteam several times -- and I plan to continue doing so at Henley. I'm sure there will be several people there that will be happy to join me in a toast to your continued great recovery!
Keep up the great work Joel -- miss you, and thinking about you lots.
Good to see a smile on your face. You're looking great! Wish I were in Regina so I could stop in and say hello. Who knows - maybe I could even contribute to the food you've been receiving. Actually, with my cooking skills, maybe you'd be better off with the hospital grub..
Joel that's a sweet huge wiener...I'm sure the nurses tell you that daily! Anyways I'm glad to see the staples are out and that you're more comfortable. Everyone at the beach is checking this daily and asking for updates and they are glad you're doing so well. Keep it up!
Dude, it was great to see you in such good spirits when Bob and I came by to see you last week. I know we haven't seen much of each other in the past few years - mostly because Erin and I have been out in Calgary - but I've always remembered you as an incredibly positive person with tremendous friends and family. As I read your blog, my memory serves me correct. You're a lucky man to be blessed by such positivity and to be surrounded by such incredible people (and one sweet lookin pooch).
I'm glad to see that the road to recovery is on-track. I hope I'm visiting you at the Wascana next time I'm in town.
They say if you focus on something enough, you can make it your reality - walk on brother.

Hey Stud,
Nice work on the h-dog, and must be nice not to be stapled up like a grade three art project. Keep it real!
