Day 69

Hey everyone,

This week has been fantastic. I got my beard back, and I got a new ride. I can wheel a lot further now, and I am starting some extra weight lifting at the gym to help out with that. I also get some time to display my speedo in the pool. Oh yeah! Hope to keep seein all you and we will be planning a big get together in the next few weeks, so stay tuned!

Cheers!
Joel

Had a great night on Saturday with you! You totally proved how strong and independant you are becoming during dinner. I was very impressed with your eating skills! I don't know many other people who can manhandle a plate quite like that and look so good while doing it! You continue to amaze and prove that your spirit and strength will overcome this. Because I have already seen how much you have done so far....and no words can describe how incredible it has been.
XOXOXO

Hey BD,

Friday night, BOOM! Dynamite time rollin all over town in the van. Kaley is getting NASCAR quick on those tie downs. I think she should scrap the electrician idea and head down to Daytona. Although the tires might weigh more than she does! Any who just wanted to tell the world that rollin with your posse is a dynamite time. Oh ya, and can't wait to go to the DRINK on Sunday night. No work monday, gonna be dirty.........so dirty!

I cannot wait to see pics of the "after" for your place. Cannot believe how far you have come. I am still thinking of you always and have all the best thoughts going out to you. I hope that I will be able to see you soon. Chatting on the phone would be nice too. You are unbelievable Joel. Seriously. I do not even know what else to say. You are like no other person that I have ever met.!! -ju

Hey Joel - haven't posted in a while but wanted you to know I'm still checking the blog and love getting updates. Beth and I tried to reunite the schoolboys crew this weekend but it wasn't the same without you. We went to listen to Dick Pound speak (after an hour long lecture he came to the shocking conclusion 'drugs work') and then we headed to the pub for a couple of sodas - unlike other posts on this blog I actually mean sodas and not 'sodas.' Keep up the great work in physio - have to say your commitment to the training regimen is inspirational (and a bit surprising - I've never heard you this enthusiastic about weights). Well, that's it for now. Off to lift some weights myself. The hat's a big hit here in Vancouver.

Love Andy

Your determination and love for life is very inspirational. Keep doing what you are doing, ESPECIALLY when the times are getting harder. That is when it matters most. Just like in FUBAR - Give'r. And do your homework not just the classes....remember? Still amazed...
