Wondering if you got that big sloppy kiss I asked to be planted on you - and no - JD wasn't the one who was to deliver it!
Thinking of you lots. Love to you and the whole family.

He's not even here and he's still the talk of the regatta! The old crew is all asking about you. Colin formerly from Calgary now coaching in Ithaca says hi. Scott (Calgary, Thunder Bay) now South Niagara - said knows how to step up to the plate when the time comes, it's you. Anyway, just wanted you to know people are asking about you.
joel--dawn and steffa won their 2- heat this morning. stefanie was second in her lwt. 1x and also advances. the boys at western canada summer games had a great regatta. you've probably heard by now but 3 silver medals and 3 gold--nice showing. the girls picked up two bronze medals in the 2- and 2x. they raced well too--just some mighty big girls from bc that were pretty dominant and solid showings from alberta and manitoba. NO DAMAGED EQUIPMENT!!! one fin came of when a boat got pitched by high winds--but it wasn't a saskatchewan shell.
we're thinking about you joel--your smiles, humour and heart. i like the wristbands for the kids too--nice.
you're an inspiration for us joel--you and you're family. i have regular access to a computer now, so i'll try to keep up with the updates and look forward to seeing you again soon.
