Joel's Response

From Joel:
It’s been a day since surgery and I am feeling pretty good. I have some new pain but it’s positive progression pain. I got to sit up in a special chair today and I am possibly changing wards out of Intesive Care tomorrow to a different floor. I was lookin for a new look so I shaved my head. A guy’s gotta occupy his mind with something. Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart for all your continued love and support. This journey would certainly be a lot tougher without knowing everyone is pulling for me. I want to take a chance to thank everyone here at the General Hospital SICU for all their love and kindness and gentleness. They have kick-started the first week of this episode in such a powerful recovering direction. Love you guys!

Hey Stud,

Awesome to hear right from you bud. I am super impressed that you are sounding so good only a day after surgery, that is freaking amazing. Like I said man, INSPIRING. I have some pretty interesting msn convo's to show you next time I come to visit. I don't use the word "stud" lightly. I had to promise not to post them on here. Keep fit and Have fun!

To my favorite Canuck,
I just heard the news about your accident and I am still in shock. You are in my thoughts and prayers, and I am eager to learn the progress you are making each day. You are such a strong and amazing guy I know you will make it through this in no time. I had saved the last voicemail you left me a couple weeks ago letting me know that "Canada was calling to check in on me" and I had to listen to it again because everytime I hear your voice I think of you always saying how you're "Laughing your face off!" Stay strong and know that so many people are pulling for you. I hope you have a quick and complete recovery and I look forward to hearing your voice again soon!
Love,
Mimi

Shaved head, eh. I imagine you look pretty sharp there buddy. I am at Moosomin and if you can believe it they have yet to replace that road sign that I took for years ago...not so good. Anyway, the extended McDonald Family is all sending their love and support and thinking of you. I hope you were able to move to another ward today, and I hope to be coming in to see you very soon. As soon as you are rested and ready! See you soon bud..always thinking of you-Ju

Hey Joel
Just got back into town and was anxiously awaiting to see how you were doing. I am so glad that the surgery went well and that you are on the mend. So now that you have lost your halo do you think the the bald look will take over? Seriously you'll look great either way. Take care and hope to see you soon.

A bouquet for Kaley; thanks for posting all the pics, you are one awesome sister.

Love Sheryl & Ed
