Kaley,
i just wanted to say what a wonderful, strong, independent and amazing women you have become. Your parents have done a wonderful job raising such great kids. Shane and Donna you have children with a great spirit and a love for life.

Kaley, you have been there everyday with a smile on your face and always take time to return txt messages from hundreds of people wanting updates. I want to let you know that i think you rock!
Ok don't get a big head on me....i'll see you in a week.

It's so great to have this blog to check on Joel's progress - which seems to be amazing.

Donna and Jan, you know I'm thinking of you and will check in periodically. Take good care. With love, Aina

hey joel -

glad to hear things are going well - other than the lack of golden locks !!!

I heard you were able to talk with jen (? - the girl that came in the week before you) - i'm sure that was a really good visit.

just so you know, i was the one who packed up your knicker drawer... didn't find anything too embarrassing ; )

anyway, have a good day - hopefully we'll get up to see you again soon.

What a great picture of "the sibs"!

It is wonderful following this blog. Just wanted to reinforce that all this support is not only for Joel but for his entire family. Keep the strength.

Hey Buddy,

Good to hear from you. Shaved you hair off, hey. Going for a more sleeker look!

Pumped to see you when you are able to get some visitors. Take care, man. All my thoughts and support is with you.

Hey joel,

It was really nice to see you joel, and i definitly like the shaved head!!! It suits you!!

It was also really nice to spend time with the rest of the family and meet the friends that have done and are doing so much for the family.

Im sure it will be nice to get up to the neuro unit, i find that little changes like that sometimes make a day seem more interesting!

I saw jen in the hall when i was walking into the hospital to see you, and she seems like a good person to have as a friend especially at wascana.

Well im sure you will be seeing alot of friends and family soon once things are ready for that....but i will be back to visit again!

Love
Jaylyn

hey joel,
It was great seeing you yesterday. It had only been a few days since the last time and what a change! I know your determination will continue to carry you along. Your strength does not surprise me — out of anyone I know you are the one that would be last to quit. Can't wait to see you again, will stop by in the next day or two and maybe see your new room!

Hey you. Was great to see you the other day. Heard you are giving the nurses a run for their money. Not like you never gave me a hard time at Sheldon. Loved every minute of it. Keep up all the great progress you are making, I have a few friends that work neuro - hahaha. You are a very determined, ok stubborn, young man - that will help you at times such as these.
Love to you and all your family, my thoughts are with you everyday.
